the mobile app

The Mom Burnout app is designed as a personalized, interactive tool offering stress-relieving activities explicitly tailored for mothers navigating maternal burnout. Rooted in thoughtful UX and UI principles, the prototype includes comprehensive wireframes and mock-ups for the home screen, activity pages, user profile settings, and key navigational flows. The app’s core feature is a stress-tracking system that visually represents a mother’s progress using badges, progress bars, and motivational achievement icons, offering gentle encouragement through gamified interaction. These earned rewards can be redeemed at participating Mom Haven locations, seamlessly bridging the digital experience with real-world self-care. The app also incorporates daily push notifications, which provide customized nudges — such as reminders to pause, breathe, hydrate, or journal—supporting moms with timely, actionable self-care prompts each day of the week. A standout feature is the video journaling page, where mothers can privately express thoughts and emotions. Powered by AI, this tool transcribes their reflections into text, analyzes emotional patterns, and delivers supportive feedback to deepen self-awareness and promote resilience.

Additionally, the app includes a community forum, allowing mothers to connect, share, and support one another through discussion threads and topic-based conversations. As a digital extension of the Mom Burnout ecosystem, the app’s functionality will be rigorously developed and tested through user-focused exercises, emphasizing creating a smooth, empathetic, and visually cohesive prototype by the end of the development phase. Overall, the app offers therapeutic tools and creates a sense of shared experience, helping mothers feel seen, supported, and empowered—one small, intentional interaction at a time.
